Louis de Pontis, Provençal gentleman (1583 - 1670) was Lieutenant of the guards of Louis XIII then in the main charges in the infantry regiments of Guyenne, Normandy, Languedoc, the Netherlands & Germany. At the end of his career, he was ordained Marshal of Battle.
