United Mexican States - Lot consisting of 4 silver coins:

4 silver coins of 1 peso - Struck in the years 1924, 1926 (x2) and 1927.

Silver (.720), 16.6 g, 34 mm each. Total weight of the lot (4 coins): 63.30 g.

KM #455.

Obverse: Mexican coat of arms (the Mexican royal eagle upon a prickly pear cactus while devouring a rattlesnake). The eagle, cactus and snake are flanked by a holm oak branch on one side and a bay tree branch on the other side.
The number stating the silver fineness (0.720) is split in half by the eagle's head and the snake. Above the coat of arms, there is a legend reading ‘ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS’ (United Mexican States).

Reverse: a radiant Phrygian cap (symbolising liberty) and the face value with a crown besides.
