The presented William Morris Agency contract secured rhythm guitar player John Wilkinson’s services for the Elvis Presley Tour between Thursday May 27, 1976 and including Sunday, June 6, 1976. The contract calls for a payment totaling $2,000 to the guitarist and stipulates “Stage Shows.” Signed by John Wilkinson and Management Three (Tom Hullet) at the bottom on May 3, 1976. With original envelope!

A member of the TCB Band for eight years and more than a thousand shows, John Wilkinson played rhythm guitar for Elvis in the early 1970s. He appeared in the Elvis documentaries Elvis: That’s the Way It Is and Elvis On Tour as well as in the famous television broadcast of the “Aloha from Hawaii” concert. In an interview with John Wilkinson, he admitted that when he was only 10 he told Elvis “You can’t play guitar worth a damn!” Elvis responded, “You think you can play better than me?” and a young John said, “I know I can.” What he didn’t know, was that just 13 years later he would again meet Elvis and be hired to play guitar in his backup band. John played with Elvis up until his death in 1977. The contract measures approximately 14 by 8 1/4 inches (35.56 x 20.95 cm).
