‘Have a cracker, pretty Polly’. The Sultan says to Iago as he shoves a cracker into his mouth. The Sultan is the benevolent ruler of Agrabah and the father of Princess Jasmine. Aladdin was released at the peak of the Disney renaissance era which began with The Little Mermaid in 1989. Aladdin was the most successful film of 1992 with over $217 million in domestic box office sales and $504 million worldwide. The Sultan, pulling a cracker from his pocket, measure about 8" x 8", rendered in blue pencil on 16 field animation paper. It is a nice large image of the Sultan. You can see this scene around the 14:55 time mark in the picture. The sketch has some handling and edge wear from normal production use with some tiny stains on the corners, well away from the image area. In very good condition.
