Very rare find. This fossil egg, belonging to Aldabrachelys abrupta, extinct giant tortoise endemic of Madagascar, was found in a fossil nest in the south of Madagascar.The peculiarity of this egg is that, unlike other finds, it has remained completely intact and has not allowed sand to enter its interior (over millions of years). This is why the egg is empty inside. It is extremely delicate and weighs only 10 grams.
