U2 – War
War is the third studio album .
It is the band's first album that had a strong political background.
In 1989 the record was voted number 40 of the 100 Best Albums of the 1980s by Rolling Stone Magazine.
Later it came in his list of the 500 best albums of all time on the 223rd place.
The album became U2's first number 1 album in the UK,overtaking Michael Jackson's album Thriller.
The boy on the album's cover is Peter Rowan, brother of Bono's friend Guggi. He also appeared on the covers of the U2 albums Boy, Three, The Best of 1980-1990 and Early Demos.
