Good copy of this important work on the history of the cavalry of the Royal Guard under the Restoration which was the model and example of the French army.
Illustrated with 130 plates engraved in intaglio, the vast majority of which are fold-out and 16 pages of engraved music gathered at the end of the volumes.
Important guide for cavalry regiments (hunters on horseback, dragoons, hussars etc.), very interesting on the knowledge of maneuvers on horseback largely inspired by the Napoleonic era, in particular the "Provisional Ordinance on the Exercise and Maneuvers of the Cavalry of the Vendemiaire An.
