Front. Illuminated by a radiant sun, the goddess of peace Pax, with a cornucopia in her right arm and Mercury staff and reins in her left, rides in a sun chariot of which the wheels and spokes are formed by sun faces. The chariot is drawn by two lions, the front with sceptre and royal crown of Spain and the rear with arrow bundle and crown of the States General. The weaponry is under the chariot. In the field on two lines: PAX / HISPANO. BATAVA. Coin inscription: (rosette) ET * IVNCTI * CVRRVM * DOMINAE * SVBIERE * LEONES (and united the lions let themselves be placed before the cart of the ruler)
