Set of 2 EMD E8 double traction locomotives - Southern Pacific Lines.
The locomotives are like new, never used. They come from a private collection showcase.
Tested and working, but never used.
The production of these diesel locomotives started in 1980. Initially, they drew passenger carriages, then they were also used for freight transport.
It includes 1 Rivarossi plastic label with golden string, 1 unopened bag with 2 couplings, 2 sheets with instructions and technical features.
The Rivarossi box is not the original one of these locomotives.
To simplify the manoeuvres and to avoid “turning” the locomotive, in case of multiple traction, two locomotives were coupled “back to back”, both equipped with a cab. The one placed at the head of the train housed the footplate staff.
