Nice set of two Japanese Imari vases from the Meiji period, late 19th century. Blue colour under the glaze. Red and blue decoration of flowers in reserves and stylized phoenix birds around central flowers for the red scenes (for one of the two, only flowers for the other with a finely cracked glaze).
Dimensions of each: height: 25 cm, diameter: 15 cm.
In good overall condition Some firing defects and firing cracks under the base of one of them. The photos are part of the description.
