Main track: Of the Baureihe 85, 10 machines (85 001 – 85 010) were built by Henschel & Sohn. These were put into use from January 1933. The machines were stationed in Freiburg. After the war there were only 9 left. The 85 004 was too badly damaged. The machines were in service until 1960. Machine 85 007 is the only one that has survived and stood as a memorial to the engineering school in Konstanz from 1966 – 1979.
