Description
Schuco PRO.R43 - 1:18 - Glas 2600 V8 White 1966
New - In original box

The Glas V8 is a coupé produced by Hans Glas GmbH in Dingolfing. The car was presented in 1965 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The design of the Italian Frua was seen as sensational, and the resemblance to the Maserati Quattroporte earned the new Glas coupe the nickname 'the Glaserati'.

The financial situation was precarious in September 1966, which resulted in a takeover by BMW.

Production of the Glas Coupé 2600 V8 ran until August 1967. In the same month, the model was launched unchanged as a BMW-Glas 3000 V8 with the BMW logo on the hood.
