Obverse: ‘FERDIN VII DEI GRATIA 1817’ (Fernando VII by the grace of God) around the King's laureate bust facing right.
Reverse: ‘HISPAN ET IND REX.’ Mo (mint) 8 R · P·J. (assayer) (King of Spain and the Indies) around a crowned shield with castles and lions, with pomegranate at the base point and the escutcheon of the Bourbons between two columns with scrolls inscribed ‘PLUS VLTRA’.
