Winnie-the-Pooh is a character from a series of stories by A.A. Milne. His name is actually Bear Edward, but he is rarely called that. Pooh bear, as he is also called, loves honey and, in his own words, only has very little brain.
Winnie the Pooh is actually Christopher's teddy bear, but can talk in the stories, just like the other animals, and lives in the Hundred Acre Wood, based on a real grove near the author's house. Pooh, Christopher and Piglet experience simple adventures in Milne's stories that focus on, for example, the fact that Pooh loves honey, or that a new animal has come to live in the woods, or that the animals go on an expedition.
