- Dinero Alfonso VIII of Castile (1158–1214) - billon (0.69 g, 18 mm).
Two five-point stars on the sides of the castle's central tower, which has a cross on top.
Obverse : a legend reading ‘ANFUS REX’ surrounds a crowned bust of the king facing left. /
Reverse: a legend reading ‘CASTELA’ surrounds a castle with two towers and a central crowned citadel flanked by two five-point stars.
Interesting, very well preserved piece. It has a beautiful tonality and plenty of details. Very rare!
