In 1992, the NCMV and the Jaycees of Oostrozebeke, with the support of the municipal administration led by Lieven Demedts, mayor and Sleen fan, paid tribute to Marc Sleen.
A folder was published for the occasion containing a selection of 24 exclusive illustrations by Marc Sleen in an edition of 850 copies.
The folder is a large-size edition (approx. 41 x 30 cm) and the illustrations are printed on slightly glossy 170 gsm paper on sheets of approx. 40 x 29 cm.
Most illustrations were not previously published.
This folder is in very good condition and shows minor signs of wear. (tiny creases in the protective folder). The illustrations are like new.
From the collection of top collector Chris Mouton (1965-2020), who built a reputation by searching for unknown art of Belgian comic artists in often obscure and forgotten publications. His efforts helped fill in blind spots in the oeuvre of important Belgian comic artists. Comic books, magazines, dolls, figurines, stickers, key chains, original art and even paintings from his collection now find their way to various auctions, which can be followed using the search term #chrismouton.
