Anna Maria Braakensiek (1890-1970) - Village in Mallorca by moonlight

Anna Maria Braakensiek (1890-1970) - Village in Mallorca by moonlight

Atmospheric painting Braakensiek set up in smooth impasto brush-strokes, probably made around 1935 in Mallorca. The composition structure clearly has some influence of Cubism; Perspective seems deliberately here and there can not be beat, both in line and shade lining and this gives precisely the charge to this painting. The canvas and the painting are in good condition with fresh colors, only the canvas at the back has some fraying. The painting comes from Galerie Zagwijn The Hague, signed lower right; AM Braakensiek. Check out the photos for an overall impression.
