Large Chinese earthenware vase from Nanking. The peculiarity of this earthenware is that it often has a finely cracked glaze and as well as several levels separated by ornaments in brown slips. Here, it is a rare copy, decorated in underglaze blue with flowers and birds on a white background. Decoration of flowers in relief around the collar. The vase dates from the 19th century.
Dimensions: 41 x 20 x 20 cm
Good general condition, a small chip in the decoration around the collar, some large hairs on the belly, in the decoration, some small cooking defects. The neck had to be cut at some point because normally, on this type of vase, it goes flared and has a slurry part. The photos are part of the description.
