Beautiful Brazilian Volkswagen T1 Samba de luxe bus from 1972 with 23 windows, beautiful red/white color scheme, open folding roof, open Safari windows front + side and beautiful new interior.
This original VW T1 from Brazil was fully restored and painted in 2021 by an experienced T1 workshop in Brazil. It is not an original samba but a beautiful replica with all the details and sun windows. The bus has been completely repainted in the beautiful two-tone combination "red with lotus white roof". The undercarriage, the axles and the doors are in very good condition, also on the underside, see photos. The bottom has been sprayed in the red color.
This T1 has the well-known air-cooled 1500 cc engine with 4 cylinders. The engine runs fine and the transmission shifts as it should.
Completely new upholstery has been installed inside, with new curtains, headliner, side panels, new seats, sun visors and of course the folding roof that can be opened. The seats (seats) are really beautifully upholstered with a combination of light gray artificial leather on the side and white seat parts. The stitched patterns in the seats complete the look, along with the chrome handle rails. The front windows and side windows are pop-out samba windows, which means that they can be opened. A new, original chrome Volkswagen logo on the front and original VW rims with chrome hubcaps. The curtains, white wall tires and double imperial complete this van.
The bus still has the Brazilian registration certificate with which it can be registered almost anywhere in Europe. We note that this T1 samba has been restored in Brazil. A Brazilian restoration is usually less than a European restoration. There may therefore be some small points that sometimes fit / close less well than if a European workshop would have done the restoration. The price has also been adjusted accordingly: for an original T1 samba restored in Europe you simply pay 3x to 4x as much. That's why this is your chance to own a beautiful T1 samba replica, at attractive prices. However, country-specific work still needs to be done, or final adjustments to meet European requirements and your quality standards.
Of course there will be spots on a 50-year-old van, so we doubt whether the tank meter works. A new ignition lock has also been installed, so that the ignition key no longer fits on the door locks. All around this Volkswagen T1 is really beautiful and is in very good condition. The van is sold "as is" and it is certainly possible to come and view the beauty in advance to see what you are bidding on. This is a private sale, so warranty does not apply.
The van is located in DELDEN (Netherlands). Via catawiki you can get my data to come and take a look. I hope you enjoy bidding!
