Letter on watermarked paper with letterhead from the Minister of Justice (Claude Ambroise REGNIER). Dated February 28, 1811 addressed to the imperial prosecutor at the court of 1st instance concerning the death of her husband and a subrogated guardian of her child and to verify the facts and write a memorandum. Signed Duke of Massa.
Napoleon appointed him grand judge and minister of justice in September 1802. He was appointed Count of the Empire on 24 April 1808 and became Duke of Massa. On leaving the Ministry of Justice on 13 June 1813, he received the title of Minister of State and obtained the Presidency of the Legislative Body. Napoleon gave him a gift when he left the Ministry of a mansion on rue de Choiseul and died in 1814. He is buried in the Pantheon.
