Letter signed (L.S.) by Louis Le Bègue Duportail (1743-1802), Major General Councillor of Washington during the War of Independence, Minister of War at the beginning of the French Revolution.

Letter to the administrators of Îlle et vilaine informing them of the arrival at Rochefort of a detachment of 100 men of the agenosi regiment disembarked in Brest from the ship Apollo which went to Redon under the orders of M.Behagues. He asks them to do what is necessary to organize his departure and his walk.

Very good condition on watermarked paper
Duportail was one of the advisers to Washington during the American Revolutionary War.
