Jean Cocteau - Lettre autographe signée - 1954

Jean Cocteau evokes his health problems in this letter.
At the beginning of October 1954, he recovered from his myocardial infarction and put the finishing touches on the collection of poems "Clair Obscur" which would appear at the end of October 1954, where he sings of the disillusionment of the poet before the modern world and his revolt before the otherness of time.
Doctor Georges Soulie offers him a detox cure.
Doctor Georges Soulie de Morant was a French Sinologist and Mongolist, diplomat in China from 1903 to 1909 and main promoter of acupuncture in France and in the West starting in 1929.
In 1935, he became a hospital practitioner in acupuncture and had Jean Cocteau, Colette, Antonin Artaud, Maurice Ravel as clients.
At the end of the letter, Jean Cocteau writes about the Ballet La Dame à la Licorne.
