A very nice and attractive portrait of Poseidon! Ainos was an important city which stood at the mouth of the Hebrus, and thus commanded the navigation of that river, which brought it into commercial relations with all the eastern regions of Thrace.

Reverse: AINIΩN Hermes standing left, holding purse and caduceus; to left cock walking left.
