New edition considerably increased of this work which was published for the first time in 1688 and had only 2 plates.

Complete copy of the 12 folding plates engraved on copper, one of which represents Ozanam's famous mathematical instrument the proportion compass, composed of two flat rulers, hinged together at one end, like an ordinary compass, which can likewise be close or open at more or less acute angles and bearing on their faces divided lines to serve various uses of geometry: "It can be used to quickly & easily solve the most useful & necessary Problems in all parts of Mathematics, & mainly in practical Geometry, both on paper and in the field. "- Ozanam, 1688.

And another "Universal Instrument" by the author, a sort of flat rectangular protractor, is used for all practical geometry. Ozanam offers the precise construction and the different applications; calculate an angle on the earth and other operations with respect to the
Earth.

Beautiful copy preserved in its period binding in full marbled calfskin, spine adorned with the title and an elegant decoration with compartmentalized golden irons.

Solid volume, and decorative despite the slight friction to the caps and edges of dishes, lower corners a little damaged. Fresh and clean interior, some slight traces of handling and handwritten notes on the first guard.
