A juz ', literally translated "part" or "division", is one of the thirty parts of varying length into which the Quran is divided. The volume contains 12 pages, of which 10 are handwritten with beautiful Arabic calligraphy using dark ink; in a double register the Arabic script is translated into Persian with red ink. The text that corresponds to the surah Bani Isra'il is enriched with a beautiful 'unwan painted with natural colors and an opening of the chapter. The Ayat, the verses, are marked with green colored rosettes. The text is complete. The binding is in leather edged with a dry-stamped palmette decoration. A stamp of possession is affixed to the colophon.
Condition as shown in photos, some loose pages and ancient restorations.
