Description
China - 1878-1949 - Ma's illustrated catalogue
New (accessories)
Ma's illustrated catalogue of Chinese stamps is a specialised catalogue of earlier Chinese stamps ranging from the Qing dynasty to the Republic China period. It offers the most extensive and systematic overview of each stamp, from the first customs issue of 1878 to the Dah Tung stamp from 1947. Ma's illustrated catalogue differs from other stamp catalogues because it goes beyond a simple list of stamps. Ma's catalogue is a treasury of philately-related information of great historical importance, which is much needed in the research and study of early Chinese stamps.
This is a reprint of the very rare first print from 1947 and this version was probably published in 1980.
The catalogue is in good condition and has 568 pages
