Anonymous - [Tours - Rouen] - Manuscript sheet from a Book of Hours - [c.a. 15th century] - 1450

Original manuscript - 15th century - parchment - 9 x 6.5 cm.

Condition: although almost 600 years old, the condition is good, the parchment is slightly tanned. Elements that determine the value: the rarity, quality, age and attractiveness ... a top piece in any serious collection.

These 15th century manuscript sheets come from a Latin prayer book written in France. The text is written with brown and partly red ink, the initials are indicated with red and blue ink and some initials are heightened with gold, the initials have beautiful penwork with leaves. All text on these sheets is handwritten.
