Iconic black pyramid tulip vase.
A stunning centerpiece with a story:

The icon of Delft pottery to date is the "vase with spouts". The vase was intended to be filled with a variety of cut flowers, not just tulips as the popular name "tulip vases" suggests.
In the 17th century the tulip was still a very exclusive and expensive flower and by means of the tulip vase could show rich people how prosperous they were. The tulip vase was a status symbol. Although the tulip is now inseparable from the Netherlands, that is actually unjustified. The flower is originally from Asia, In the Netherlands, the tulip did not gain any fame until around 1600, when it quickly became a popular object. There was plenty of trade and speculation, which eventually led to a veritable 'tulip fever'.
