"... J'ai téléphoné à Leroux qui vous a déjà écrit. Il vous fait, m'a t'il dit, 50 francs par chronique... comme à tous ses collaborateurs et je n'ai pu obtenir de lui davantage. Je pense pourtant que vous accepterez ces conditions qui ne sont pas très brillantes... mais qui sont celles que l'on trouve d'habitude dans les canards..."
