Remarkable work dedicated to the young Louis David during his stay at the Academy of France in Rome (1774-1780).

Established in a beige canvas box of the publisher, decorated with a bronze medal specially struck at the workshops of the Mint in Paris after the medallion of David d'Angers exhibited at the Louvre Museum, glued on the back. On the first flat red title coin struck gold with Greek framing.

Printed in only 289 copies on pure thread in the shape of Johannot, containing an "original drawing" in deficit to our copy.
