Ethiopian coptic - manuscript - 1850

Ethiopia Very old Ethiopian coptic Ge’ez manuscript or bible with old wood covers.
Size are 8.5 cm x 7 cm.
Total 50 pages with wood covers with leather and 4 handpainted icons..
each page written by hand in Ge'ez using red and black ink and bound in a between 2 wood covers - the red ink is used for religious saints or names of holy figures - see photographs for condition.
Good condition for age - some cracks to spine as shown in photographs - some soiling to pages with usual smudge marks and occasional holes, which are normal characteristics for this type of bible of this age. A good example in age appropriate condition. Please refer to the photos as they form an integral part of the description. inscribed with black and red in the Ethiopian script on both sides of the leaves.
Overall, all parts of the Bible reveal an impressive old quality and usage with a beautiful patina.
