The Marengo is a gold coin minted by the Subalpine Republic to celebrate the victory of Napoleon Bonaparte against the Austrians on 14 June, 1800.
All these coins carry the value of 20 in the currency of the respective nation.
The oldest Marengo is the one with the title "bare head" struck from 1853 to 1860.
