Obverse: 光緒寶元 - Guangxu precious currency. In the center, Badarangga Doro (name of the emperor in Manchu script), Yuwan Boo (Yuanbao in Manchu script).
In outer ring: 造省南江 - Made in Jiangnan province (Kiang nan). Flanking top inscription: 戌戊, Wuxü, Dog Yang Earth (indicates the year according to the sexagenary cycle). At the bottom: 分二錢七平库 - Kuping 7 Mace 2 Candareens (indicates the weight of the coin).
Reverse: Dragon facing, sometimes encircled. * KIANG NAN PROVINCE *
