Limited printing of only 250 copies, this one is on yellow-tinted laid paper.

Marbled sheepskin publisher’s binding, smooth spine adorned with a label and gilded decoration.

In perfect condition.

Treatise on cooking, containing over 200 original recipes with original names: “les yeux de veau farcis au gratin, les Œufs au soleil, les Poulets vilains ou à la motte" en chauve-souris, en culottes, Veau en crottes d'âne.....

According to Simon, the book can be attributed to the dedicatee himself, Louis-Auguste de Bourbon, Prince of Dombes, grandson of Louis XIV and of Madame de Montespan, gastronome who enjoyed participating in Louis XV’s ‘Petits Soupers.’ Republished in 1747.
