Tanude / Naudet - Traité d'anatomie, d'ostéologie et de miologie, nécessaire au dessin - 1800

Tanude / Naudet - Traité d'anatomie, d'ostéologie et de miologie, nécessaire au dessin - 1800

Rare anatomical atlas, published at the very beginning of the 19th century, intended for art students. The name of the author appears in another work (Anatomy, or the Detailed Knowledge of the Human Body) under the name of "Tanude, surgeon-anatomist of Montpellier".

The book is illustrated with 12 large plates lithographed in black after Naudet's drawings, representing striking skeletons of human bodies and various skinned. All the boards are abundantly captioned in the margin.

Curiously, the author's letters 'Tanude' form an anagram with that 'Naudet'.

Softcover, plain cover. Volume as published. Solid volume, traces of manipulations on the covers and angular folds. Freckles on the boards more or less scattered. Remains in good condition.

Tanude / Naudet
