A lovely edition. Excellent work on the history of the six Crusades until the war against the Turks, much improved compared to the previous books, since the typographic execution is much more meticulous and elegant, it is set out in a way which aids in thematic research, and the accuracy of proper names is irreproachable.

Some gaps in the previous editions have also been filled by a final historical annex of the French settlements in southern Italy and on the island of Cyprus.
Each volume is accompanied by a beautiful, high quality engraved plate.

The bindings are in good condition, works in their shagreen half bindings, red, decorated spines, boards decorated with the coat of arms of Lycée Chaptal, Paris, the boards and the spines are in good condition, normal rubbing, decorated spines, gilded titling and volume numbers.

Interior in good condition, some foxing, marbled endpapers, works adorned with 4 engravings in frontispiece.
