A beautiful page from this legendary album of L'Épervier Bleu, with a beautiful large image in the second strip. The page was made in 1949 for Spirou/Robbedoes magazine. The album was released later in 1952 in French and in Dutch.
At that time, Sirius experimented with drawing on tracing paper, which he wet, causing it to cling to a hard stone table. Once dried, he drew the page on this tracing paper and then attached it to drawing board. He illustrated this entire album in this way.
The French texts are covered with the Dutch ones, which are fairly easy to remove. I deliberately did not do that, because I do not want to affect the history of the page.
The condition of the page is good overall. (some improvements by Sirius with leftover tape).
Please look closely at the photos, they are part of the description of the condition of the page.
Sirius’s initials can be seen at the bottom of the page (MM for Max Mailleu)
A great opportunity to obtain a real classic for a reasonable price.
Will be packaged with care prior to registered shipping. The depicted albums are not included.
