F. Pierre Bontier y Juan de Vernier - Historia del primer descubrimiento y conquista de Canarias 17/300 - 2009

Excellent facsimile of a masterpiece of the history of the Canary Islands.
The reproduction of the Histoire de la première découverte et conquête des Canaries (1402) is so accurate that it is hard to believe that what you are holding is not the original. There are two copies of this work in the Canary Islands. The one in the Museo Canario was used for this edition.
This facsimile is so accurate that it reproduces the smudges, cracks, age-related stains, the water stains, and even the manual additions by the authors.
The binding of the facsimile is made with very fine goatskin, hand embossed and decorated with dies especially made for this edition. Each of the sections is folded, grouped and sewn by hand. The 220 pages are made of laid paper, printed in stochastic weft, achieving then the same texture and aging that the original Paris work. The work comes with a volume providing the translation of the texts (the original is in medieval French), indicating the pagination of the original work. The set comes in a velvety chest that protects the items from temperature changes and sunlight.
The size of the case is 24 x 18 x 10 cm, the facsimile measures 16.7 x 11 cm, and the book with the Spanish translation 18.5 x 13 cm.
Each copy is duly numbered and authenticated by notarial testimony in an edition limited to 300 copies. This is no. 17.
- It will be perfectly packed and additional insured for shipping.
