Extremely rare typology of Boa Inizi mask. This is a hut mask which is not destined to be worn on the face, unlike the most common masks, the Pongdudu.
The Boa style consists of polychromy, stylisation and rounded ears that are sticking out.
Mask collected in the D.R Congo. It was brought back to Belgium and belonged to a family until 2021.
