Rosso di Montalcino DOC.

Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a Tuscan red wine. The Casanova di Neri winery since 1978, when the first Brunello di Montalcino was bottled, produces a real qualitative safety, thanks to the love and passion for their land.

The grapes that originate this wine are 100% Sangiovese, produced in the southern vineyards of Montalcino.

The harvest is rigorously made by hand, followed by the destemming of bunches and grapes, and the fermentation, that happens with no added yeast. Aging in oak barrels lasts for 15 months.


Wine features

At sight it’s intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections.

The aroma is fruity with marasca cherry and violet scents.

The taste is elegant, with great structure, with young but high-quality tannin, it’s a wine of strong character with the typical personality of the Casanova di Neri, the producer defines it in fact a ‘young Brunello’.


Recommended combinations

To serve in wide goblets at the temperature of 16-18°C, we recommend to open the bottle few hours before serving it to accent its qualities.

Perfect combination with Tuscan cured meats, first meat courses and barbecue.
