New edition, part of the works of Abbé Proyart, in 17 volumes, the copy is complete for "Vie du Dauphin père de Louis XV", in 2 volumes. Opens with a beautiful engraved portrait of Louis de France, Duke of Burgundy, father of Louis XV after a painting by Rigaud.

Book written and published for the first time on the eve of the French Revolution. The author Abbé Proyart is a writer and religious French Catholic, monarchist, counter-revolutionary and anti-Masonic.

Set established in a binding in full granite sheepskin, smooth spine decorated with an elegant golden decoration.
Rubbed leather on the back with scuffing marks and missing fragments. Slightly blunt corners. Fresh and clean interior, some scattered foxing at the beginning of volume 1 including on the title and portrait.
