In folio, coeval half leather binding with marbled boards. 130 pages of illustrative text. Engraved title page printed in several colours. Numerous woodcuts interspersed in the text.
It includes 31 large colour maps engraved on copper of ancient and modern geography, one of which is a general globe and two of which are of the American continent. A good copy. The atlas is apparently complete and without a trace of removals. There are copies sold with a much higher number of plates and it is not clear if the copies appeared in composite form and with different collation from copy to copy or if the nineteenth-century binder has included only 31 plates (relating to all continents).
