Story of the first ascent of Mont Blanc by a Frenchman. The Count of Tilly, close to the Count of Chambord, emigrated to Switzerland after participating in the legitimist uprising of 1832, which gave him the opportunity to make this ascent. Good copy of this important and rare book.
