Obverse: ‘FERDIN VII DEI GRATIA 1821’ (Fernando VII by the grace of God) encircles the king's laureate bust facing right.
Reverse: 'HISPAN ET IND REX.' Z (mint) 8 R · R. G. (assayer) (King of Spain and the Indies) around a crowned coat of arms with castles and lions with the pomegranate and coat of arms of the Bourbons, between two columns, on the columns volutes with inscription PLUS VLTRA.
