A lovely edition, illustrated by the very inspired Dubout, of the play by Jules Romains first performed in Paris, at the Comédie des Champs-Élysées, on 15 December 1923.
It contains 36 in and out of text drawings in colour (coloured under the direction of the artist by Maison Jon et Wils). The cover is also illustrated.

A well preserved copy. Fresh inside, lightly aged binding, impeccable inside, devoid of foxing. A handwritten ex dono on the front flyleaf. The double casing is rubbed, the joints and edges are cracked but not detrimental to the hold. In good condition.
