Berthold Konrad Hermann Albert Speer (Mannheim, 19 March 1905 - London, 1 September 1981) was a German architect and politician and one of the most powerful men in the Third Reich. He became friends with the Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler through their shared interest in architecture. Speer is also known as the "architect of the Third Reich" and was one of the leaders of National Socialist Germany. He had six children, one of whom was Albert Speer Jr. (b. 1934), who followed in his father's footsteps and also became a celebrated architect. [Wikipedia]
