High-quality South Cantonese watercolour made with Chinese watercolour paint. Painted on fine pith paper. The paper has the effect of creating a relief texture with a velvety visual depth.
This watercolour represents the earlier, more prestigious style of export watercolour paintings, intended specifically for wealthy Europeans.
A very beautifully painted watercolour, with many details in clothing and faces.
Depiction: Chinese noble.
Framed with passe-partout in wooden frame with a gilded edge and non-reflective glass.

Frame: 30 x 35 x 1.5 cm
Inside of the passe-partout: 14.5 x 20 cm
