Henriette RONNER KNIP (1821–1909). Shepherdess and her flock, oil on mahogany panel, 22.5 x 29.5 cm.
Frame: 33 x 40 cm approximately. Signed and dated on the left Henriette Knip 1842. The pictorial layer is in very good condition. From French auction house. The slip valid for expertise will be provided to the purchaser.

Henriette received an academic education from her father J-A Knip.
He became blind in 1832. Henriette very quickly found herself responsible for the legal obligations of the family.
In 1838 she participated in the exhibition of living masters. These works immediately seduce the monarchies and the European upper middle class. Orders are pouring in. She marries Feico Ronner (1850) and settles in Brussels. Henriette then signs her works Henriette Ronner and exhibits at the Paris Salon.
