Rare illuminated Gothic edition of the Poetic Art of Horace,
with the commentary of the humanist bookseller and printer
Josse Bade Ascensius (Absent at CCFR)
37 pages plus 1 sheet which has a total of 76 pages
because the numbering does not indicate all the pages.
The book contains many scenes of ornithology
parakeet, bank swallow and peacock birds
as well as several botanical achievements illuminated with gold,
accompanied by its beautiful illuminated title page.
general condition the whole is well preserved as well
than the illuminated achievements, despite several centuries
the book is in good condition.
small tear, without loss in the margin of 3 to 4 pages
without affecting the text.
slight mark of foxing here and there.
