This year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the painter!
Beautiful work with a nod to the Cobra period with the insect/flying fish, where Corneille uses Van Gogh yellow and green.
A great master of colour, in the wake of Matisse and Gauguin, Guillaume Corneille creates a jovial world that emphasises harmony with nature. The city is reduced here to a succession of small houses. The central circular shape celebrates the complicity between the two women.
Original silkscreen printing by the painter Guillaume Corneille (1922-2010), born in Liège to Dutch parents and a founding member of the Cobra movement.
